IMPACT MODIFIERS
PROCESS
Designed to enhance the mechanical performance of engineering polymers such as polyamide.
Through a meticulously controlled production process using equipment developed according to internal technical specifications, we create solutions that increase impact resistance and durability of molded parts, even under the most demanding application conditions.

01.
Reactive Extrusion
In the production of impact modifiers, MPB employs reactive extrusion to functionalize polyolefins and elastomeric rubbers, improving their interaction with engineering polymers. Grafting with maleic anhydride enhances impact absorption and toughness of the compounds.
Thanks to custom-designed extrusion lines and precise control of process parameters—including the choice of base polymer, type of initiator, and MAH content—MPB has developed highly efficient products for sectors such as automotive, appliances, and durable goods.
02.
Maleic Anhydride
In the field of impact modifiers, maleic anhydride enables chemical interaction between polymer phases, increasing the dispersion of the modifier within the matrix. The result is a significant improvement in mechanical properties, especially at low temperatures.
MPB uses MAH to achieve effective compatibilization in complex systems, ensuring high performance and consistent quality in formulated compounds.
