Cookie policy
Cazzago San Martino, 13/11/2023
INDUSTRIE POLIECO – M.P.B. S.p.A. (hereinafter referred to as the “Controller”), with registered office in Cazzago San Martino (Bs), via E. Mattei, No. 49, in its capacity as Data Controller, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, informs you about how cookies are used.
What Cookies Are and What They Are For
A cookie is a text file that a website visited by the user sends to their device, where it is stored and then retransmitted to the same website during a subsequent visit.
Cookies can be classified:
- According to the entity that installs them on the user’s device, depending on whether it is the same operator of the site being visited (so-called “first-party cookies”) or a different site, which installs cookies through the first site (so-called “third-party cookies”);
- According to the purpose of each cookie: some cookies allow the website that installed them to remember, for example, preferences expressed by the user while browsing, to make a purchase, or to authenticate (so-called “technical cookies”), while other cookies allow the website to monitor user navigation also for the purpose of sending advertising or offering services in line with the preferences expressed by the user during online navigation (so-called “profiling cookies”).
Technical Cookies
Technical cookies are used solely to “carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service.”
Cookies of this type are necessary for the correct functioning of certain areas of the website. They include both persistent and session cookies. Without these cookies, the website or some parts of it may not function properly. Therefore, they are always used, regardless of user preferences.
Cookies in this category are always sent from our domain. Technical cookies can be subdivided into:
- Navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (for example, allowing a purchase or authentication to access reserved areas);
- Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics), considered technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect aggregated information on the number of users and how they visit the website;
- Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g., language, selected products for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
It should be noted that the Google Analytics tool used on this website collects visitors’ IP addresses to provide an indication of their geographical location. This method is known as IP geolocation. Google Analytics does not report actual visitor IP addresses. Using a method known as IP masking, Google Analytics communicates information so that only part of the IP address is used for geolocation, rather than the entire address.
You can download the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This add-on instructs the Google Analytics JavaScript code (ga.js) to indicate that information about the website visit should not be sent to Google Analytics. Consent is not required for the use of technical cookies.
Cookies for Third-Party Functionality Integration
These cookies are used to integrate third-party functionalities on the website (e.g., integration with social networks or advertising services). Cookies of this type may be sent from partner site domains (or domains providing the functionality present on the site) and may use information about the user’s visit to show advertisements that may be of interest. Browsers are automatically set to accept cookies.
Information pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation 2016/679/EU
Regarding the information collected by cookies installed directly by the Site, the Controller specifies the following:
- Data are collected only for the purposes and duration indicated in the table below and are processed electronically;
- As for “technical” cookies, their use does not require the prior consent of the user because they are necessary to enable navigation on the site and ensure its proper functioning. Removing technical cookies via browser settings may prevent full or partial navigation on the site;
- Profiling cookies allow the Controller to understand the User’s preferences and require the data subject’s consent;
- Data collected from first-party cookies may be communicated to entities acting on behalf of the Controller as processors, appointees, or authorized operators, for purposes related to those described above. Users may exercise their rights under Regulation 2016/679/EU, as described in the Privacy Policy accessible via the link in the site footer.

The PHPSESSID cookie is a native PHP cookie that allows websites to store session state data. On the website, it is used to establish a user session and communicate state data through a temporary cookie, commonly called a session cookie. Since the PHPSESSID cookie has no set expiration, it disappears when the session ends.
Cookie Settings
By default, many browsers automatically allow the use of cookies but also offer options to control most cookies, including the ability to accept or reject them and procedures to delete them.
For more information on controlling cookies, consult the “Tools” (or similar) section of your browser.
You can configure your browser to notify you before accepting a cookie, giving you the option to accept or reject it. You may also disable cookies entirely.
How to Disable Cookies
If you prefer not to receive cookies, you can modify your browser settings to be notified whenever a cookie is offered, or to delete cookies already stored on your hard drive.
Please note that preventing the placement of cookies on your computer during a visit (including essential cookies), or deleting cookies after they have been placed, may affect website functionality and impair effective use of the site. This applies to all websites, including ours, once cookies are disabled via browser settings.
Most browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.) are configured to accept cookies. Cookies stored on the device’s hard drive can be deleted, and cookies can be disabled following the instructions provided by major browsers in their support sections.
